What Education Means To Me

When most people think of education they think of children in school doing math or practicing their spelling words. But education to me could be defined under a wide spectrum of things. I believe that education is learning, and concur that most people learn more from experiences. The more diverse a person’s experiences are, the more education” that person has.

However, I do believe that doing well in school is a must. By doing well in school, you can enter into the post-secondary school of your choice and furthermore, then following your dreams and pursuing your choice of career. Education should be one of the most important things instilled in our
youth today. I think that most students don’t fully understand that the choices they make today will affect their future.
Then grades they receive will determine which college they can get in, and ultimately how long the list of career choices they will have. The extra-curricular activities that they are in will keep them out of trouble. And, the trouble they get in will be on their record forever. A key part of education is having good educators. The best students will have difficulties learning if they have poor teachers. Important to being a good teacher is making school fun, and having kids want to be there. Students won’t learn if all they do is take notes and get lectured, and their grades will represent that.

Overall education is, in my opinion, very important to our youth. Our youth are our future, and only time will tell how well educated our current students are.
